"As curator of a museum of education, I seek, in the spirit of John Dewey, to preserve, transmit, rectify, and expand our educational values and beliefs as we come to better understand the role of school in society. Aesthetic education offers numerous opportunities to ‘be with adventurous company’ and to build democratic communities as a method to help transform our larger society."
